Maderotherapy
Maderotherapy, as it is know today, has its origin in Colombia, where the first wooden roller was patented. It is a new type of a healing massage (about 100 years old), which is still evolving and its technique is being perfected.
It primarily targets the entire lymphatic system in our body and through gradual development of the treatment , a lot of beneficial effects were discovered.
It is a 100% natural treatment and there is no way that the treatment will cause you bruises or contusions. WHY? Because our lymph is right under our skin. It cannot be pushed with wooden rollers because the lymph will be further slowed down and compressed.
If someone has caused you bruises, then chances are that you may start to get visible coils ( broomsticks). You definitely don't want that :(
The effect of massage practically forces the body to behave differently, encourages the muscles to work and do their function better, reduces tension in them, improves all the organs, blood flow, lymph flow, stimulates blood circulation.
The lymph travels in parallel with the nerves, arteries and veins. The movement of lymph is made possible primarily by the contraction of the muscle fibres of the vascular wall. The transport of lymph is also assisted by the 'muscle pump', the vacuum created by the movement of the diaphragm and the pulsation of the aorta. The valves in the lymphatic vessels ensure the unidirectional movement of lymph.
What is absorbed into the lymph:
- fat droplets, triacylglycerols (esters of glycerol and especially of higher fatty acids), cholesterol, fat-soluble vitamins
The lymphatic system is dependent on zinc, iodine, iron, selenium, omega 3 unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins B,D,E.
Are you aware that there are no machines that can measure our lymph flow? To our knowledge, the lymph and the whole lymphatic system is still a mystery.
